I think that might have an effect if we were looking at more data, but I don't think any catchers could make the sample requirements (about 13 games in PITCH f/x parks) while predominantly catching one pitcher.

I do think it's likely there's a pitching staff component to this, but I don't know if it's possible to tease out from the partial year of data we have to this point.</description>

For instance, Tim McCarver always caught Steve Carlton, but rarely anyone else.  Another example is Eddie Perez always catching Greg Maddux in the late-90's, but rarely anyone else.</description>
